Jennifer is an excellent communicator and researcher highly skilled at making strong, fact-based arguments. These traits were carefully honed during her educational years both in the classroom and in extracurricular activities. She graduated in 1992 cum laude from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Arts in English. She then used her communication and research skills in graduate studies at the University of Texas School of Law. During this time, Jennifer quickly became a noticeable figure in several law-based organizations, including The Order of Barristers – a United States national honor society focused on oral advocacy and brief writing. She also became a champion in national and state student advocacy mock trial competitions, including the ATLA National Mock Trial and the Texas Invitational Mock Trial.
Jennifer’s career took off quickly after her 1999 admission to the State Bar of Texas. She joined the American Association of Justice. She has since received high praise from clients, fellow attorneys and state and national associations for her asbestos-related work. She has been invited several times to speak on panels about asbestos litigation at a variety of conferences, including the 2010 HB Litigation Conference – Asbestos Litigation: A Crash Course for Associates on the “Dynamic Trial & Settlement Techniques in Asbestos Litigation” panel and on the 2012 HB Litigation Conference “Emerging Issues for the Most Active Jurisdictions in 2012” panel. In her private life, Jennifer also believes strongly in the empowerment of women and girls and spends her free time working with a non-profit organization dedicated to this mission.
