Denyse F. Clancy, a nationally recognized attorney, became a partner at Kazan, McClain, Satterley & Greenwood in 2016. Before she joined the firm, she was the lead trial and appellate counselor and a shareholder at Baron and Budd. Baron and Budd is a well-known and respected trial law firm that is headquartered in Dallas, Texas. Clancy is an experienced appellate and trial lawyer who has specialized in toxic tort and asbestos cases.
Ms. Clancy’s has succeeded in achieving many asbestos-related case victories as a result of her hard work and dedication to her clients. In Moore v. Ericsson, Ms. Clancy was successful in upholding a judgment against an asbestos wire manufacturer on behalf of a Pennsylvania electrician. The California Court of Appeal upheld a very large monetary compensation verdict for a California victim of asbestos exposure and her family in Mahoney v. Georgia-Pacific. In the case of Izell v. Union Carbide, Ms. Clancy was the lead appellate counsel for this case in which the court upheld a large monetary damages verdict. She was also able to have another verdict successfully upheld for a Louisiana plaintiff who was diagnosed with lung cancer as a result of their exposure to asbestos in Watts v. Hebert Brothers.
Denyse F. Clancy is one of only a few attorneys whose have been verdicts upheld in several state Appellate and Supreme Courts. She is one of a select number of lead trial attorneys who on cases were mentioned in the National Law Journal’s Top 100 verdicts. This is a significant achievement that not many attorneys are able to achieve.
